Facilities
- Land:
- Legacy sits on 80 acres in scenic western Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
- Sixty acres are dedicated to building space, arenas, and pastures.
- An additional 20 acres are reserved for trail and cross country riding through woods and water.
- Stabling:
- Our horses and boarders' horses are housed in two buildings.
- The Main Barn is divided into two aisles, one for mares and geldings, and one for stallions. In total, the Main Barn contains 34 stalls.
- The Annex, build connected to but not accessible through the Main Barn, holds broodmares, mares and geldings, and youngstock. In total, it contains 28 stalls.
- Mares and geldings are housed in generous 14' x 14' stalls.
- Stallions have spacious 16' x 16' stalls.
- Pregnant mares, mares with foals, and pairs of youngstock are housed in extra large 20' x 20' stalls.
- Turnout:
- All of our paddocks and pastures are securely enclosed with Flex Fence. Not only is Flex Fence attractive, it greatly reduces the risk of injuries associated with wood fences (cuts/splinters from broken boards) and wire fences (cuts, slices, electrical burns).
- Our pasture space is divided into pastures and paddocks of varying sizes to fit the needs of herds in turnout, pasture-kept herds, stallions requiring private turnout, and youngstock.
- Arenas:
- We have a total of five arenas.
- All of our arenas contain a mixture of sand, coated sand, and crumb rubber for superior drainage, cushioning, and support.
- Our indoor arena is directly accessible through the Main Barn. It measures 100' x 200' and is suitable for jumping, flat work, and dressage.
- Our standard (66' x 198') dressage arena is covered for use in all weather.
- Our outdoor jumping arena is a super-spacious 150' x 300'.
- Our 100' x 250' outdoor and 180' x 240' covered arenas are available for jumping and flat work.
- Our 180' x 240', 66' x 198', and 150' x 300' arenas are equipped with judges' booths and seating space for competitions hosted on-site.
- Trails/Cross Country:
- There is virtually no limit to the trails you can find both on our property and in neighboring woodlands.
- Our cross country course is able to accommodate all levels from Beginner-Novice through Advanced. It includes both permanent and removable obstacles as well as hills, ditches, banks, and multiple water crossings.
